Conference information and cancellation policy
Registation Information:
- Full Registration for any type of participant except accompanying person includes: conference bag, access to all workshops, tutorials, Conference sessions, Daily Coffee Breaks, Daily Lunches, Welcome reception, daily afternoon visits to Knossos, Archaelogical Museum of Heraklion and Historical Museum of Crete, FORTH
- Student Registration requires documentation proving registered Student status (student's ID or a letter from the Head of Department/Director of Doctoral School prepared on the notepaper of the institution) should be send to sales@ccbsgreece.gr . Please indicate "CIDOC 2018, STUDENT STATUS DOCUMENTATION" in the subject field.
- Accompanying person registration includes access to Welcome reception, daily afternoon visits to Knossos, Archaelogical Museum of Heraklion, Historical Museum of Crete, FORTH. Please note that this type of registration is only allowed for persons accompanying participants with full registration
- Extra Daily Coffee Breaks-Lunches, Voucher will be available at reduced price for accompanying persons at conference venue
- Day pass fee includes conference bag, access to workshop/s, tutorial/s, Conference sessions, Daily Coffee Break/ Lunch and social activity of the day
- ICOM Members please provide your ICOM number in the remarks or by email at sales@ccbsgreece.gr
Cancellation Policy:
Please note any cancellations MUST BE RECEIVED by email sales@ccbsgreece.gr or fax +30 2810 330606
- A cancellation fee of €30 applies for any cancellations before 31/5/2018.
- A cancellation fee of €50 applies for any cancellations before 31/8/2018.
- Cancellations after 31/8/2018 will not be refunded. If you cannot attend, you may transfer the registration to another person.
Friday, October 5th Optional Tour Information:
On The final day of the conference (Friday, October 5th), participants and the accompanying persons will have the opportunity to go on a day trip to an archaeological site and museums.
Please choose the tour that you want and indicate in the Conference Remarks field a second choice of tour in the event that your first tour choice is cancelled or fully booked.
The cost per person for the optional tours on Friday, October 5th includes: A/C Bus, Profesional English Speaking Guide, Lunch, Entrance fees for participants with full registration

We have established special rates for the CIDOC 2018 conference participants in hotels within 10-15 minute walking distance from the venue in Heraklion City. At the moment all the Heraklion City hotels are fully booked.
All room reservations are on request basis.

All rates are in EURO Per Room per night on Bed & Breakfast Basis.
Rates are valid during the conference dates, however extention of stay is possible with the same rate if arranged by our agency CCBS Greece P.C
Please note that September in Crete is high in the tourist season and availability is limited.
You are encouraged to make your hotel bookings at your earliest convinience.
Your accommodation is considered as confirmed ONLY when accommodation fees are deposited in full and you have received and email with availability confirmation.
All rooms are on full prepayment basis.

For any cancellations received
By the 1st of July 2018 : Full refund (minus 30€ Handling Fees)
From the 1st until the 31st of August 2018: 20% Cancellation Fee of the total of accommodation cost
From the 1st until the 14th of September 2018: 50% Cancellation Fee of the total of accommodation cost
From the 15th of September 2018: NO REFUND of money
Important Noitice:
As of 1 January 2018, an additional Overnight Stay Tax applies, payable locally by the individual guest on checking in to accommodation in Greece and varies according to the official rating of the accommodation as follows:
- 5 Star: 4.00€ per room per night
- 4 Star: 3.00€ per room per night
- 3 Star: 1.50€ per room per night
